A friend has just recently posted a video link to a music video by Super Junior. This is a Korean boyband that consists of 13 members: Eeteuk (leader), Heechul, Hankyung (Chinese member), Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Shiwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, Kyuhyun (magnae)
All 13 members are in the "Sorry, sorry" MV, just look carefully.

Maybe, you also share my first impression that Koreans look all alike, but watch carefully. If you can spot who is who in the video, you already earned a degree in my "surviving-in-Korea" class.

And don't tell me that some of these 13 boys are actually women... No. They may look like...

And this leads us to the concept of femininism. No typo here, I did not mean feminism, but rather wanted to present you the idea of aiming for feminin look. Actually, as I recently read in the article "Boys who like the girlie look" men and boys in Asia prefer to look younger than their age, having smooth skin as babies, and do not get offended if you call them "pretty and cute".

Just take a look at this boy, G-Dragon of the Big Bang group, posing in make-up. Hey, girls, does he drive you crazy? Or rather you turn away in disgust?

No doubt, most Koreans prefer this style. The weekly TV drama on the KBS2 Korean channel “Boys Over Flowers,” which revolves around four rich kids with “pretty boy” looks, drove women audience crazy and commanded a 30 percent audience share by the time the final episode was broadcast in March.

No way that my favourite actor would be popular among Korean women these days. And - so sad - no way to see these kind of "macho" guys on the streets of Seoul.

Style and manner... it is something men would rather learn elsewhere than here...

(Bocs a magyar nyelvű kommentért.)

@Gianni7: It is my pleasure!

I admire Sylvester Stallone, so I can truely understand you and your thoughts. My ideal man is strong, well built and at the same time sensitive...
I have just read an article: My Sassy Girl: A Qualitative Study of Women's Aggression in Dating Relationships in Beijing
According to this (and some other!) article, we, women have changed, and become more aggressive and we made men become more woman like.
If you are interested in the article, I can send you.

Hey, my friend, you out there in no man's land! Come back! SooN!
This is just disappointing - now i am reassured why Asia has never attracted me! Next time pick a macho country - plíz - that could be in South America or somewhere in Africa - i'd go along with you there!!
And now let me quote that fav song: "You will survive!" I do hope.
Any macho foreigner??
